The Concept
In the era of incessant following, swiping, and notifications, we envision [company_name] to be an organic way for New York metro area professionals to meet new people and make new friends in the context of a specific shared interest — gourmet food and international travel.
There are three components to The Ivy Gourmet:
- Regularly scheduled happy hours in a dedicated space at a bar or a restaurant, which will rotate venues from time to time.
- 4-6 dinner events per month at different upscale/gourmet restaurants in and around Manhattan, with 16-24 attendees per dinner depending on the venue.
- Group travel with a focus on gourmet food and accommodations at 4 and 5 star hotels.
Happy hour venues will vary, ranging from well-known venues to lesser-known speakeasies.
Dinners will include 3 or 4 courses, a glass of wine with the meal, and coffee/tea; they will also be prepaid including tax and tip, so you don’t have to worry about how to split the bill or if you are subsidizing someone else’s extra glass of wine.
Group travel will be domestic and international, with all-inclusive pricing (except airfare), focused on gourmet dining, with 4 or 5 star accommodations.

Friday – Saturday: 9:00 am – Midnight
Food service until 10:00 pm
Sunday: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm
